Under Massachusetts law, grandparents have certain rights to see their grandchildren when the grandchild’s parents separate, especially if the lack of grandparent visitation is detrimental to the child’s best interests. Ultimately, the court will consider the best interests of the child and the previous relationship of the grandparents and grandchildren.
If you believe that your right to custody of or access to your grandchildren is being violated, please feel free to contact one of our attorneys and we will be happy to discuss the law with you to see if it applies to your case.
